Bengaluru: The police have taken an unexpected turn in the Dharmasthala “mass burial” case. Arresting the complainant, who claimed that a Karnataka village had experienced mass rapes and murders. Officials stated that he had been arrested for lying under oath. Pointing out that his statements were fabricated and untrue.

CN Chinnayya, also known as Chenna, is the complainant. He was previously known as the “masked man”. He concealed his identity while attempting to obtain protection as a suspected whistleblower in a case involving mass killings and funerals.

Although Chenna had previously recorded his statement with the magistrate. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) was not persuaded. Based on their findings. The SIT discovered that he had been lying during cross-questioning. They arrested him on charges of perjury and removed his witness protection.

Action of SIT.

The SIT took him for a medical examination this morning before bringing him before the court, according to the footage.

Another startling reversal in the case involves a woman. She had previously claimed that her daughter had vanished in Dharmasthala.

According to Sujata Bhat, her daughter Ananya Bhat. She was reportedly enrolled in an MBBS program, vanished from Dharmasthala. Later, she changed her mind and claimed that Ananya didn’t exist in an interview with a local YouTube channel. She has made another U-turn by claiming that she was forced to say this.

When Chenna entered a police station in July with a skull and claimed to have assisted in the burial of hundreds of bodies. Including those of young women who had allegedly been sexually assaulted. The Dharmasthala controversy broke out.

The case became a Political Hot Spot.

When the BJP accused the Congress of attempting to discredit the temple town and failing to take action to stop the “propaganda,” the case became a major political hot spot. The Congress asserted that the BJP is attempting to use the matter for political gain.
