The Xiaomi Redmi 15 5G smartphone will have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 as its processor. It will also feature a 7000mAh battery and come with a 33W fast wired charger.

Xiaomi has announced the launch of the Redmi 15 5G smartphone in India on August 19. Leading up to the launch, the company revealed the design and battery details of the smartphone, stating that it will have a slim body. The smartphone will come in three colors: Frosted White, Sandy Purple, and Midnight Black.

In addition to the launch date and design, Redmi shared several important details about the upcoming phone, including its chipset and camera.

Redmi 15 5G: What to expect
Xiaomi’s Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi 15 5G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset. The Redmi 15 will feature a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will also have certifications, including TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and Circadian Friendly certifications.

For the camera specifications, the phone will have a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor. It may also have a 2MP sensor. The smartphone will come with smart features such as AI Erase, AI Sky, and classic film filters.

The Redmi 15 5G will have a 7000mAh battery that supports 33W charging and 18W reverse charging. The company claims it can provide 55.6 hours of streaming on Spotify, 23.5 hours of YouTube video playback, and 17.5 hours of Instagram Reel viewing. Additionally, they mentioned that the smartphone will offer 13.5 hours of standby time with 1 percent hibernation mode. The device is expected to receive IP64 certification for dust and water resistance. It will also feature Dolby-certified audio.

According to the company, the Redmi 15 5G will use HyperOS based on Android 15. It will receive two years of OS updates and four years of security updates. It will also include Gemini and provide features like Circle to Search.
